Our mission is to enlighten, empower, and engage community leaders through increased civic leadership capacity.
SUMMARY: The Program Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and management of Leadership Houston’s programs, with a primary focus on the organization’s Signature Program. This role involves stakeholder engagement, event planning, program evaluation, and revenue generation through partnerships. The Program Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to ensure that Leadership Houston's programs align with its mission and strategic goals. This position reports to the Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of Leadership Houston’s Signature Program and other initiatives.
Develop and manage program content, curricula, and speaker engagement.
Monitor and evaluate program outcomes using performance metrics and participant feedback.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with Leadership Houston alumni, corporate sponsors, and community leaders.
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to enhance program visibility and engagement.
Represent Leadership Houston at events and community meetings.
Budget & Fundraising Support:
Manage the program budget, ensuring financial sustainability and strategic resource allocation.
Identify and develop sponsorship and funding opportunities for program expansion.
Partner with the Executive Director and Development team on grant proposals and fundraising initiatives.
Marketing & Communications:
Develop and implement strategies to promote programs through social media, newsletters, and community outreach.
Collaborate with marketing staff to create promotional materials.
General Leadership & Operations:
Support the Executive Director in strategic planning and organizational growth.
Provide guidance to the Program Coordinator in executing day-to-day tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
5+ years of experience, with a minimum of 2 years of program management experience
supporting programs in a non-profit setting.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Experience in budgeting, fundraising, and event coordination.
COMPENSATION:
$50-70K BASE SALARY (Full-time)
