Shampa Mukerji, Class XXXVIII

Shampa is a proud graduate of Leadership Houston – Class XXXVIII. She is a native Houstonian, business owner, lawyer, and mother.
For over fifteen years, Shampa has successfully practiced in multiple areas of civil litigation representing individuals, corporations, small business owners, and other civil litigants. Shampa focused on first party insurance litigation for many years before joining the Mukerji Law Firm, where she manages over 500 personal injury cases.
Shampa currently serves on the board of the Texas Lyceum, Pratham Houston, and Asian Texans for Justice Action Fund. Shampa is also an American Leadership Forum Fellow as of 2025. Shampa served as an Associate Judge for the Municipal Courts of the City of Houston from 2020-2024. She is also regularly appointed as Special Commissioner for eminent domain matters and guardian ad litem for minor settlements in Harris County. She also serves on the Parent Association of the Kinkaid School and as a trustee of the Houston Durga Bari Society.
Shampa is married to Sam Mukerji, owner and founder of the Mukerji Law Firm, and together they have three children and three dogs. They love raising their family in Houston taking advantage of all that the city has to offer. In her spare time, Shampa enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
