Travel the world while never leaving Houston to experience the richness in diversity our city offers. The Leadership Houston Passport Program brings community leaders together to learn about and experience customs, traditions, cultures, politics, trade opportunities and business protocols of different countries around the world. This program will build a foundation for multicultural engagement that will help us as leaders create positive change.
The 2010 Featured Countries are Turkey in April, Australia in June, Mexico in August, and, India in October. The program for each event will include and educational session from 4-6pm and a reception with entertainment from 6-8pm.
LH Alumni and their guests may participate in a variety of ways:
Volunteer - We need volunteers to help coordinate each country's travel itinerary. Contact Marilyn Brown at mbrown@leadershiphouston.org to express your interest.
Travel - Travel prices are easy and affordable. To travel to all four countries, the cost is $250 per person or $500 per couple. To travel to individual countries, the cost is $75 per person, per country and as space allows. Registering is easy, click the button below to proceed.
Please join us for the Travel Club Kick-off Meeting in February. During this social reception we will welcome and introduce participants, provide program guidelines, outline travel itineraries, present passports and travel packets for the first country, and explain the purpose and functions of consulates in Houston and the importance of international trade to our city. Stay tuned for further details!
