LH Class XXVIII

Sherry Weesner was born in Baton Rouge, LA, and moved to Texas when she was in the second grade.  She grew up in Spring Branch, and graduated from Stratford High School in the Spring Branch Independent School District.  

After high school she attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and the University of Houston, Clear Lake with a Master of Science in Finance.
 
She is a registered professional engineer and a Certified Public Manager. She spent most of her career working in the design engineering and state and federal pipeline and environmental regulatory compliance field. After becoming interested in politics she volunteered and was a staff member for several state and local campaigns. In 2007 she became accepted a position as Chief of Staff for Houston City Council Member Melissa Noriega.
