A long time active member of Leadership Houston. Sean has served on and chaired numerous committees; served as Board Vice President of Development , Class XXVI Co-Chair and Class XXVII Chair. Sean has served as Chair-Elect since January 1, 2010 and will be completing the final year of his 2-year term. With more than 19-years’ experience in non-profit fundraising, Sean is the Chief Development Officer for Rothko Chapel (an interfaith sanctuary, renowned for its integration of art, architecture and the sacred, that fosters dialogue and champions human rights).
Sean is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) - Greater Houston Chapter Board of Directors and is the current President. Sean is the District H Director for the AFP International Board of Directors, and is the Chair of the 2011 Leadership Academy in Montreal, Canada. Sean was awarded the “2009 Five Outstanding Young Houstonian Award” recognizing his work in non-profit leadership and was honored as one of the “2010 Five Outstanding Young Texans,” joining an impressive list which includes numerous Leadership Houston alumni.
Sean was named by the Houston Business Journal as the only non-profit honoree for the 2010 “40 Under 40 Award.” Sean is diehard LSU alum and in what little free time he has, he spends with his partner Jeff Wallace (LH Class XX) and their two “kids” Mahal (Mahal a 6 year old Shepherd Lab mix and Dakota a 5 year old English Golden Lab.)
