Samuel A. (“Sam”) Dodson is a Financial Strategist at Ostrow Financial Group. As an investment advisor representative of H.Beck he specializes in the areas of investment planning, financial coaching and tax planning.

Sam is a native of New York City and attended that city’s schools through high school. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Drexel University, where he majored in Accounting and Federal Income Taxation. He also holds various securities, investment advisory and insurance licenses.

Sam has a diverse financial and business background. Prior to entering the financial services, he worked for a “Big Four” accounting firm for 5 years, spent 15 years as a senior officer in the commercial banking industry, and served as President of a $60 million asset credit union. His financial services industry experience includes a brief period working in Brussels, Belgium. Sam has been active in a number of the city’s civic and charitable causes, including Leadership Houston and the March of Dimes.
