LH Class XXII
Robert Painter is a trial lawyer and public policy leader. He was formerly associated with Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP and started his own law practice, Painter Law Firm PLLC, in 2005.
Before law school at Baylor, Robert ran a division of a U.S. presidential campaign. Prior to that experience, he was a U.S. Army officer, repaying a full scholarship to medical school. Robert also holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in biology.
An alumnus of Leadership Houston Class XXII, Robert’s public policy activities span from his neighborhood, where he serves as Chairman of the Northwest Houston Chamber of Commerce, to the other side of the globe, where he serves as an advisor to the President of Mongolia—and many things in between.
Robert has served on a variety of nonprofit boards, where he has tenaciously worked on membership growth, large-scale events and fundraising. If elected to the Leadership Houston board, he plans to have the same focus.
