Richard Jennings is a graduate of Leadership Houston, Class VII. He has been very involved with Leadership Houston over many years. He previously served as Administrative Chair, Government Class Day Co-Chair, At Large Member - Board of Directors, Member - Executive Committee, Board of Directors Secretary, Vice Chairman and Chairman.
He received the Distinguished Leadership Award from the National Association for Community Leadership. He also served on the Leadership Houston Foundation after its inception. He currently is the Regional Vice President of South Texas and Executive Director in Houston for the Arthritis Foundation.
Prior to joining the Foundation, he was the Senior Manger of Community Relations and Contributions for KBR coordinating its philanthropic activities in the United States and globally. Prior to joining KBR, Mr. Jennings was the Executive Director of the March of Dimes in Houston. Mr. Jennings retired from SBC/Southwestern Bell in 2000 as Director of External Affairs in Houston. Mr. Jennings spent nine years as a jet instructor pilot in the United States Air Force after graduation from the University of Houston.
